Gabriel Gibs was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1936. He came to the United States in 1957 as a college student. Initially, he attended the University of California at Berkeley as a chemical engineering major, before he moved to New York. He received a B.S. degree in Chemistry in 1963, at what is now the City University of New York (CUNY). He has also received a M.B.A. degree in Finance from Pace University in 1974. The principles of his MBA thesis, titled "Forecasting Stock Trends By Volume Analysis", has been the foundation of the Volumetric Fund's trading system.
After graduation Mr. Gibs' first job was a chemist in the Lederle Division of American Cyanamid Co., since acquired by Pfizer, in Pearl River, New York. Then, from 1968 to 1975, he worked for St Regis Paper Company, now part of International Paper, as a chemist. During these years he became very interested in the stock market as a hobby.
Between 1975 and 1986 he was employed in various capacities by Lonza, Inc., a chemical company in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. He started Volumetric Fund in 1978, as 17 co-workers, friends, and relatives invested their money in the new investment club. In 1986, as Volumetric kept growing, Mr. Gibs left Lonza to manage the fund full time. In September of 1987, Volumetric Fund went public.
Mr. Gibs has served as a Portfolio Manager since inception to April 2021. He served as CEO from 1978 to April 2016 and Chair from 1978 to June 2018. He was appointed Chairman Emeritus in June 2018. He was the former President of Volumetric Advisers, Inc, the Fund's investment adviser.
Mr. Gibs had been a guest on various television and radio shows and was interviewed numerous times for newspaper articles.
Sadly, Gabriel passed away in November 2021, after battling Parkinson's Disease.
Mr. Gibs was married and has two children and four grandchildren.

Jeffrey Gibs was born in 1966 and raised in New York. He attended Monmouth University, where in 1988 he earned a B.S. degree in Business with concentration in Computer Systems.
Mr. Gibs began his investment industry career in 1988 at Chase Manhattan Bank (now J.P. Morgan Chase) in the global custody area for the U.S. Private Banking Division. Thereafter, Mr. Gibs had worked several years for two separate investment advisers, managing their back and middle office operations and held the position of compliance officer. Most recently, he was Vice President and manager of a hedge fund administration group at US Bank. In addition to these companies, Mr. Gibs has served as a consultant to Volumetric Fund since 1988 and was employed full time as Vice President from 1997 to 2001. He has served as Volumetric Fund’s Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) since 2007.
In 2015, he became a full time employee again. From 2015 to 2016, he served as Executive Vice President and in 2016, he was appointed as President and Portfolio Manager to Volumetric Fund. Mr. Gibs was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2022. Additionally, he is President of Volumetric Advisers, Inc.
Mr. Gibs performs a vast area of responsibilities in the areas of portfolio management, operations, accounting, shareholder relations, compliance and marketing.
Jeffrey is the son of Gabriel Gibs, the Founder of Volumetric Fund. He is married with two children. Jeffrey enjoys going to the beach and spending quality time with his family.
Vincent Arscott, CFA, CPA
Vice President, Portfolio Manager
Vincent Arscott is a New Jersey native and earned a B.S. degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting from Rider University in 1987.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), a distinction that exemplifies a strong understanding of advanced investment analysis and portfolio management skills. Vincent is also a member of the CFA® Society of New York and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Mr. Arscott began his career over 30 years ago. His experience in the financial services industry most recently has included employment as a Senior Director at Kroll Bond Rating Agency. Additionally, Mr. Arscott had served in senior capacities at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), Fitch Ratings and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He brings an array of experience to the Volumetric team including multi-sector financial analysis, financial accounting, audit, and credit risk management.
He is the Vice President and Portfolio Manager of Volumetric Fund and Volumetric Advisers, Inc.
Mr. Arscott is married with three children. Outside his interest in investing, he enjoys golf and cooking.
Irene Zawitkowski was born in 1953 in New Jersey. She has a B.S. degree in Accounting and received an MBA degree in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1978.
Ms. Zawitkowski was working at Lonza, Inc. as an accounting supervisor in the mid 1970s. She assisted Mr. Gibs in setting up Volumetric in 1978. She has been an officer of the Fund since inception to 2022. She served as President and Portfolio Co-Manager from September 2003, to 2016. Ms. Zawitkowski also served as Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") from 2016 to 2022 and Senior Portfolio Manager of the Fund from 2016 to 2021, and as Portfolio Manager from 2021 to 2022. Ms. Zawitkowski was appointed Chair of the Board in 2018. She was also Executive Vice President of Volumetric Advisers, Inc. until 2022.
Ms. Zawitkowski is married and has two children. Irene enjoys traveling and gardening.
